You know you work in a school when.....

You know you work in a school on many occasions. Yesterday was one of those days. When we arrived at school there was a lot of commotion about if school would get out early since so many schools were closed or closing early already. The atmosphere is one of pure excitement. Even the teachers and helpers were wishing for school to close early. Well the wish came true and we got let out early. Everyone went home. Then came the night. The time you're watching the schools scroll across the bottom of the screen to see if your school is there and you're constantly checking your phone awaiting the phone call for the news. It doesn't come before you go to bed. Of course, you're hoping for a two hour late start so you stay up a little later, again checking your phone for that phone call you almost guarantee its coming. You drift off to sleep and wake up randomly throughout the night and check your phone when you do. Still no phone call. Then your alarm is going off and you're hoping that when you check your phone the message is there. You check and no message. You drag getting ready for work because you stayed up late because you thought for sure it'd be at least two hours late. Moral of the story, you know you work in a school, when you as a staff member are just as excited as the kids to get out early, sleep in or have a snow day!
